OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.
Manufactured in 1877. Comes in a wooden case (good) with reproduction Colt label on the inside of the lid, nickel oiler, a Frankford Arsenal 1878 12 count 45 caliber cartridge box (top absent) and 12 unmarked center fire brass casings. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber and "Blue" finish, with the barrel length and grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 200 to the U.S. Government Inspector at the Colt plant on January 10, 1877.
