Manufactured prior to December 31, 1898 and shipped in 1900. The included factory letter lists the carbine in .44 caliber with a 16 inch barrel, rifle butt, rod in butt (now absent), and $2.00 engraved (style not specified) when received at the warehouse on 9 June 1900 and shipped 14 June 1900 along with another carbine with the exact same specifications to the same order number. The Winchester Arms Museum letter states that the identical carbine was consecutively serialized to this one (142513). The Leroy Merz letter goes on to state that this consecutively serialized pair were the only two engraved Model 1892 Trapper, leaving this example possibly the only one left in existence.
