Description:

Manufactured in 1863. Matching serial numbers on the left side of lower tang, barrel, stock inlet, buttplate, and both buttplate screws. Comes with a 4-piece wooden cleaning rod. The right side of the receiver bears two "H" inspector's stamps (Henry) and the right barrel flat is marked "C.G.C./H" (Charles G. Chapman/Henry). There is a faint government cartouche on the right side of the wrist (likely "CGC") and a "C" inspection mark on the buttplate. "That damned Yankee rifle that can be loaded on Sunday and fired all week" was one of the most advanced firearms of the war.
