Description:

Manufactured 1883. The included factory letter lists the revolver in .44-40 with unspecified barrel length (usually indicates 7 1/2"), "soft" finish, and grips not specified when shipped to Hartley & Graham in New York on 10 February 1883. The letter also states that "soft" finish indicates that the revolver was shipped without final finish for engraving outside the factory. This revolver has 75% coverage Germanic floral scroll engraving which was likely executed in New York during the period under the direction of Hartley & Graham, acid-etched "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side of the barrel, and fitted with pearl grips.
