Description:

The factory letters list this rifle as invoiced on February 4, 1879, to Wright, Beverly & Co. of Dodge City, Kansas, and indicate it was shipped by the order of Sharps Rifle Co. President E.G. Wescott on May 17, 1879. Other details about the rifle were not recorded. Wright, Beverly & Co. ran a general store in the frontier cattle town of Dodge City starting in 1877 which was home to famous western gunfighters, including Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and Luke Short.
