Wescott on May 17, 1879. Other details about the rifle were not recorded. Wright, Beverly & Co. ran a general store in the frontier cattle town of Dodge City starting in 1877 which was home to famous western gunfighters, including Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and Luke Short.
