Frame manufactured in 1899. Backstrap inscribed "To Larry Wilson/From His Friend/Monte Hale". Left grip has a cowboy hat and "MH" monogram. Per the consignor, the revolver was factory rechambered to .38 special. Monte Hale (1919-2009) was a musician, singing cowboy, and Western actor.
