Description:

Only around 14,000 Henrys were manufactured in 1860-1866. Many of these rifles were purchased and used by Union troops during the "War Between the States." Their historical significance as both Civil War rifles and important predecessors to the famous Winchester rifles has made "That damned Yankee rifle that can be loaded on Sunday and fired all week" one of the most valuable and sought after of all American firearms. This Henry was manufactured in 1864 and has matching serial numbers at the breech, left side of the lower tang, and inside the upper tang stock mortise. Buttstock is a modern professionally made replacement. The toe of the replacement buttplate has "965."
