36 1/2" OAL, with a 28 1/2" live edge, wavy hamon, and attractive grain. The furniture includes a copper habaki, round iron tsuba with sky and dragon themed engraving, gold cord wrap over silver and gold floral menuki, and a black lacquer saya. The tang is unsigned with three mekugi-ana, the lowest about 5/8" from the end, suggesting an original length closer to nodachi-length. A set of consignor notes are included with the item, attributing it as an 1350 AD (Middle Nanbokucho Period) sword. Very good, with minor spotting, a few skin splits, and light handling marks.
