Description:

The knife features an approximately 5 1/2" blade and has dark horn scales and a silver plaque stamped "JAMES J. DOLAN" on the left. It is mounted within a wood display case using a wire loop at the blade and what appears to be hot glue on the scale. James J. Dolan (1848-1898) was one of the leading figures in the famous Lincoln County War during which he used both hired outlaws and allied lawmen to face off against his rivals. Famously, one of these men was the young Billy the Kid.

Rating Definition:

Good as mounted with moderate age and storage related wear, including some pitting on the blade.
