The "480" code was used by Walther for roughly two months of P.38 pistol production in 1940 before it was switched to the more common "ac" code. "Eagle/359" proofed and matching serial numbers on the frame, slide and barrel, along with a matching serial on the bottom of the magazine floor plate. Includes a Swiss Luger pattern leather flap holster. "480" code P.38 pistols are seldom encountered and desirable in any condition!
Very fine as refinished, with signs of cold bluing, thinning revealing plum discoloration, signs of cleaning, minor edge wear, minor handling marks, and clear proofs. Grips are also very fine. The decocker mechanism need work, otherwise mechanically fine. Holster is fine.
