According to the included factory letter this gun was built for stock as a 16 gauge gun with a checkered buttplate (currently with added Winchester recoil pad), regular comb, and regular wood when the inspection was completed on June 13, 1946. "SKEET" marked on the triggerplate (not mentioned in the letter). Chambers marked 2 3/4" with ejectors, chokes marked "WS-1"/"WS-2", and 13 5/16" LOP.
Very fine, original finish with light handling evidence, some loss at the lower tang, and some edge wear. Numerous scratches and scuffs in the wood with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
