Description:

This is a rare example of an early powder flask furnished with the First Model Colt Dragoon revolvers featuring the plunger spout and a similar design to the Colt Walker flasks. It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches long (excluding spout) and features a brown lacquer finish and double face design. The design is a stand of arms motif with flags, pole arms, and artillery pieces above crossed Colt revolving rifles and revolvers. At the base is "COLTS PATENT" in a banner.

Rating Definition:

Good, with traces of brown lacquer finish, attractively aged brass, a few small patches of green paint, and some scattered minor dings and dents. The plunger spout functions correctly.
