Description:

One of approximately 15,000 riot and training shotguns manufactured by Savage for the U.S. military during World War II, primarily for use by military and industrial guards and for aerial gunnery training, both freehand and in elaborate simulator mounts. "U.S." marked left of receiver with "P" above a flaming bomb proof on both the barrel and receiver, matching serial number "75724" on bottom of the barrel, "****" (improved cylinder) choke marking, 2 3/4" inch chamber, 14 1/4" length of pull.

Rating Definition:

Fine with much of the dull original finish, minor edge wear and scattered light freckling. Wood is very good with some cracks and filled in repairs visible at the rear of the forearm, and some scattered light scratches and dents.. Mechanically excellent.
