While primarily known as a semi-automatic only variant of the famous M14 military rifle, Springfield Armory is known to have made a limited number of M1A rifles compatible with the selective fire hardware of the M14; very little separates this rifle from the original military battle rifle save the receiver markings. Blade front and peep rear sights, with "WCE" elevation and "BME" windage drums. The receiver is fitted with the proper "A" marked selector switch and transfer bar on the right side. "TRW" bolt, and "HR-N" hammer and trigger housing, with a proper extended disconnector, and a "SA" operating rod. Circled "P" marked hardwood stock with light bedding around the receiver and trigger housing, and a flip-up shoulder rest. An unlabeled shipping box is included, along with a Harris bipod, and a canvas sling. Magazine absent. Note: This M1A is consecutively serial numbered to the following lot; factory original selective fire M1As are rare alone, let alone in a sequential pair.
