Perazzi makes some strikingly beautiful gun and of the finest handling and shooting guns in the world,. This pair is an excellent example of the quality of work one expects to see when they hear the name Perazzi. Each gun was built with blued steel barrels featuring a single bead sight on the matted flat vent rib with a gold "1" or "2" at the base, standard Perazzi marking on the left of the upper chamber, light engraving surrounding the upper chamber, 2004 dated Italian proofs, Briley choke tubes (.005/.010 inch installed), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The barrels of each gun are fitted to a beautiful coin finished boxlock action which displays attractive bouquet and scroll engraving surrounding a trio of highly detailed game scenes before continuing onto the triggerguard, upper tang, and toplever which has a gold inlaid "1" or "2". The game scenes depict four pheasants taking flight in a field with the front having been hit by an unseen hunter, the underside has a pointer with a shot grouse in his mouth in an upland scene, and the right has a mirror image of the scene from the left. The guns are both signed "Narcisi" on the triggerplate to the right of the trigger for Master Engraver Robert Narcisi. The guns feature a single gold trigger and a tang mounted manual safety/selector with gold inlaid "1", "2", and "S" indicators. The guns are both mounted with a beautifully figured and multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a gold "1" or "2" on the Deeley latch release as well as a round knob pistol grip stock with a gold inscription oval marked "S.R.M" and horn heel and toe plates around the checkered bare butt. Included is a factory takedown case that houses both guns and six extra Briley choke tubes.
