This is one of only 3,630 Model 16 revolvers S&W manufactured over a 26 year period starting in 1947. It is the rarest of the standard K-Masterpiece series. Matching serial numbers appear on the butt, right grip panel, and inside the frame.

Excellent, retaining 98% original blue finish with minimal handling marks and a light cylinder drag line. 98% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. A very scarce S&W Model 16-2 revolver missing from even the most advanced collections.
