Manufactured in 1980 as one of a mere 250 embellished by engraver Bottega C. Giovanelli. The barrel has been gold inlaid with two bands (one thick, one thin), intertwining lines, model and caliber markings, and script "One of One Thousand" flanked by a spray of floral scroll. The coin finished receiver features near full coverage masterfully executed floral scroll engraving with game scenes consisting of a roaring bear on the right in the woods and a ram bust in mountainous scene with the animals inlaid in relief gold with serial number inlaid in gold on the underside and "Winchester 1/1000" on the upper tang. The floral scroll motifs continue down the lever, as well as adorning the forend cap and buttplate. The lower left side is signed "Bottega C. Giovanelli 239/250". Import marked on the receiver. Mounted in a lightly figured multipoint checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock. Includes a Winchester carry case with One of One Thousand trade label.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original finish, minimal handling marks, minor discoloration on the receiver, and crisp engraving and checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine.
