Manufactured in 1900. Features rounded blade front and topstrap cut notch rear sights, two line Colt address and patent dates roll marked on top of the barrel with the caliber on the left, "R.A.C." inspection stamp on the back of the cylinder and left of the frame, and "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1896/No/140/830" marked under the butt. Matching "0830" partials on the frame under the crane, the crane, and on the cylinder latch. Fitted with a pair of smooth oiled walnut grips, with "1900" over boxed script "JTT" on the left panel, "R.A.C." under the butt, and boxed script "RAC" on the right panel with matching "0830" partial written in pencil on the underside.
Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with some light thinning on the backstrap revealing mostly grey patina, minor edge wear, a light cylinder drag line, and some minor spotting/freckling. The grips are also very fine with defined cartouches. Mechanically excellent.
