Description:

Manufactured in 1984 and imported by HK of Chantilly, Virginia, this is a scarce factory original G3 selective fire rifle that was given the "FS" (Freischwinger, literally "free swinger") upgrade, with the forearm mounting via the receiver and the charging tube instead of the barrel, to increase accuracy, which would become the standard configuration on the G3 and its descendants. Hooded post front and four-position drum rear sights, with a birdcage flash hider on the "IENX" barrel, functional bayonet adaptor in the charging tube, triangular handguard with folding bipod and carry handle on the receiver, synthetic trigger housing with "0/1/20" position markings, and a fixed buttstock with green canvas sling. The bolt head and bolt carrier are both "ID" marked, with the latter a factory original full auto component. The receiver is the original military pattern "hinge pin" variety, with a functional paddle catch for the magazine and the correct pattern safe/semi/full trigger pack. Included with the rifle are two extra magazines and a manual.
