Manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s, the "9 million" serial range M16s were intended for commercial or export sale but were made to the same military-grade specifications as Colt's domestic armed forces contracts. Features winged post front sight, A1-style flash hider integrated into a two-lug quick detach mounting point muzzle device on the "C MP/5.56 NATO 1/7" marked barrel, bayonet lug, clamp-on side mount sling swivel, "C/MB" marked A1 pattern upper receiver with bull's-eye forward assist and large casing deflector, "C" marked bolt carrier, "MPC" marked bolt, and one-piece buffer. The lower receiver features the "Rampant Colt" and model markings on the left side of the magazine well and a right-handed, three-position selector marked "SAFE/SEMI/AUTO." Fitted with a ribbed round handguard, checkered pistol grip, and a two-position telescoping buttstock. Includes a black nylon sling. Magazine absent.

Excellent, 97% original phosphate finish, with minor rubbing and handling marks overall. Some rust spots are present on the muzzle device. A few scratches are present on the furniture. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
