Description:

Originally manufactured by Heckler & Koch in 1985 as a HK94 semi-automatic rifle and imported by HK Inc, this rifle was converted to a "MP5SD" style submachine gun by Hard Times Armory of Smyrna, Georgia. In addition to the installation of a "shelf" pattern trigger pack and a welding up of the bolt carrier to engage the auto-sear, Hard Times added a foot long extension to the receiver which houses the barrel and a baffle stack, with the endcap housing a double wipe assembly. In emulation of the original SD model, ports have been drilled into the barrel to vent gas into the silencer before the bullet clears the muzzle; in the SD, this was intended to drop the effective muzzle velocity of standard NATO 9mm Parabellum ball ammunition below the supersonic threshold, reducing the overall signature of the weapon without requiring specialized "cold loaded" subsonic ammunition. Hooded post front and 4-position drum rear sights, with the Hard Times markings on the underside of the receiver, model and date markings on top, a "0/1/A" marked trigger housing, textured pistol grip and two-position telescoping buttstock. The bolt carrier and trigger pack are not visibly marked, and the bolt head is dated "IF" (1985). Included with the lot is a rubber heat shield for the silencer assembly and an extra magazine. This item is consecutively serial numbered to the following lot, another 1985 production H&K converted into an MP5SD-style integrally silenced submachine gun by Hard Times.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as upgraded to selective fire, with 95% plus factory quality matte black finish, showing some light handling marks overall and a darker tone to the stock. The wipes have been shot out, otherwise the silencer is in fine order. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
