This is an example of a Second Model 1890 slide action rifle that was manufactured in 1901 with the all blue finished takedown frame. The rifle has a combination beach front sight and an adjustable buckhorn rear sight on a barrel marked with the two line address and "22 SHORT" on the top flat. The lower tang is stamped with the serial number. Tang peep sight, 12 groove forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.
