Excellent Pre-War Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle

Manufactured in 1940. Standard markings, 3/4 magazine tube, dovetail front sight, and sporting rear sight. Plain pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate and 17 groove forearm.

ConditionExcellent. The rifle retains 98% plus original finish with some wear on the muzzle and light thinning on the forward left side of the barrel. The wood is excellent with exception of a small deep scratch on the left wrist and overall a few minor dings and handling marks. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent. Pre-war Model 61 Winchesters are a much sought after variation.
