Winchester Model 55 Lever Action Rifle

Manufactured in 1934. This rifle features a raised Lyman blade front sight with bead and a buckhorn rear sight. Standard barrel and upper tang markings with factory proofs stamped on the barrel and receiver. Solid frame with button magazine. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with serrated shotgun style buttplate.

ConditionVery fine. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish thinning to a smooth gray patina with some minor muzzle wear, some scattered minor spotting, and a few minor scratches. The receiver and lever retain 70% blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina with some extensive scattered minor pitting. The buttplate has a smooth bright gray patina. The revarnished wood is fine with some minor scratches and some scattered minor dings, along with a couple minor pressure dents on the right side of the forearm. Mechanically excellent.
