Bore Condition: The bore is partially bright with distinct rifling and pitting throughout.
Description:

Manufactured c. 1876-1880s. This early production revolver is a 1st model 1st type example with an open top frame, scooped cylinder flutes, integral front sight, round hammer and square butt with lanyard swivel. No caliber marking on the frame.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with most of the original nickel, scattered handling marks, and scattered spotting/pitting. Left grip has a minor chip. Mechanically functions. A fine example of a scarce and desirable Merwin, Hulbert Revolver.
