This is an example of a French Cavalry Model year XIII Flintlock Pistol. (refer to page 80 of French Military Weapons by Major James E. Hicks). Charleville markings are present on the lock plate along with a proofmark and the lock has a debatable brass flash pan. The left side of the barrel at the breech is dated 1807. Manufactured without sights, with brass mountings, an iron back strap that extends from the tang to the brass buttcap, and an iron belt hook attached to the left side of the stock. Most of the components are stamped with various proofs with the letters "T:C" stamped upside down on the side plate. No visible markings on the stock. Complete with an iron ramrod with swelled tip.

Very good. The metal surfaces have been buffed with some minor pitting. The lightly sanded, reoiled stock is very good with some minor handling marks along with a small minor crack near the lock. Mechanically fine.
