This lot consists of two identical engraved European percussion pistols with a case and accessories. The frame features an extensive scroll engraving on a matte background with a Liege ELG proof on the left side and a "crown/L.F." proof over "1076" in front of the engraved folding trigger. The left side of the rifled barrel has a "crown/F" proof. Scrollwork is also present on the hammer which has a checkered spur. Fitted with a nicely figured varnished walnut one piece grip with an engraved buttcap with compartment. Complete with a leatherette bound case with brass hardware and a scroll motif highlighted in gold on the lid. The interior is lined with red wine velvet. The accessories are the following: nicely figured wooden powder flask and cap box and a single round cavity iron bullet mold numbered to the guns (1076).
Very good plus. The metal surfaces have been cleaned and beginning to age again, having some minor pitting mostly on the barrel. The engraving is crisp. The grip is fine with the exception of a couple hairline cracks near the upper tang and some minor scratches. The case is fine with some minor wear/loss to the leatherette. The fine interior lining has faded to a brown color with areas of red wine in the protected areas with some minor stains.
As described in "A" including the "crown/L.F." proof over "1076" in front of the trigger.
