Manufactured in 1906, with special order features such as button magazine and shotgun style buttplate. Replacement beaded blade front with semi-buckhorn rear sights and barrel tapped for sight mounting behind and ahead of the rear sight (4 holes in total). The left side of the barrel is marked with the model, trademark, and serial number with the right side having the two line address marking. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with forend cap and smooth shotgun style iron buttplate. Sling swivels mounted on barrel and buttstock with leather sling.
Good. The barrel retains 50% original blue finish thinning to a brown. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth brown-gray patina with some evidence of being cleaned some time ago (more prevalent on the forend cap). There is some minor spotting (more prevalent on the barrel) with even oxidation on the buttplate. A few frame screws are marred. The sanded and re-oiled wood is now undersized with some minor dings and scratches, along with a few hairline cracks and filled repaired near the upper tang. Mechanically excellent.
