Description:Manufactured circa 1860 to 1868. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the one line address and the 1855 and 1859 patent dates are marked around the cylinder and the serial number marked on the butt. Brass blade front sight, blue barrel and cylinder, with silver plated brass frame and fitted with smooth varnished rosewood grips.
Rating Definition:Very fine. The barrel retains 50% scattered original blue finish mixed with smooth brown patina. There is some minor pitting along the edge of the barrel lug directly ahead of the cylinder. The cylinder has a smooth brown patina and the marking is clear. The frame retains 95% original silver plating which is darkening with age. The grips are also very fine with some lower edge wear, 95% original varnish and a few scattered minor dings and dents. The barrel marking is clear. The action is fine.
