NF - FAIR- 0% - 40% with generally smooth finish, may have mild cleaning yet not deeply pitted, but well worn, replacement of minor parts may need mechanical adjustments, may have rust and may have corrosion pits which do not render article unsafe or inoperable. In working condition. Wood condition commensurable with percent of finish with dings and dents associated with 0% - 40% gun.

Description:

Manufactured in 1913. The right side of the barrel is marked with the three line address/1896 to1909 patent dates flanked by Maltese crosses and the left side is marked "22 S.&W. CTG". The right rear of the frame is marked with the S&W logo and the matching serial number is marked on the butt, rear cylinder face and bottom of the barrel. Integral blade front and frame notch rear sights, nickel finished with casehardened hammer and trigger and fitted with smooth walnut grips with S&W medallions. Complete with a suede purse holster. The accompanying factory letter verifies the 2 1/4" barrel, nickel finish, smooth walnut grips and that it was shipped as one of 50 to Cowdrey & Co., New York, New York on October 7, 1913. Cowdrey & Co. was one of Smith & Wesson's large South American Exporters. The letter states that purse holsters were sold as an accessory by S&W.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% original nickel finish which is beginning to "frost" in areas. Overall there are some scattered minor scratches. The hammer and trigger retain 50% original case colors. The grips are also excellent with at least 80% original varnish remaining and showing a few scattered minor dings and handling marks. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent. The purse holster is excellent. A very nice 3rd Model Lady Smith with a scarce 2 1/4" barrel and purse holster.
