Manufactured in 1936. Standard barrel markings with Winchester oval proof on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Three line model/Winchester/patent date marking on the upper tang and serial number on the bottom of the receiver. Lyman blade front sight with brass bead and adjustable buck horn rear sight. 1/2 magazine, all blue finish and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with steel end cap and straight grip stock with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate.
Very fine as partially refurbished (wood). The rifle retains 97% bright original blue finish with some minor edge wear on the receiver, and some thinning and flaking on the forend cap. The buttstock has had the top comb respliced with a piece of wood and reoiled. The forearm is also reoiled. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent.
