Manufactured in 1898. Blade and buckhorn sights with the barrel marked with the two line address and "44 W.C.F." The upper tang has the three line model and patent information and the receiver underside has the serial number. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with metal forend cap and crescent buttplate.
Good. Traces of original blue finish remain in the protected areas found on the barrel and magazine with a mottled gray patina overall. There is some pin point pitting. The wood is very good as repaired near the stock toe with some minor handling handling marks. Mechanically fine.
