Description:

This unique professionally manufactured copy of a late 17th Century flintlock revolving fowler features a barrel and stock that break down. The barrel is finished brown and is equipped with a brass blade front sight. The remaining metal surfaces are bright. There are four 5 inch chambers, each with its own frizzen and flash pan. A lever mounted directly ahead of the trigger guard releases the group so they can be rotated. The frizzens seal over the top of the flash pans so they can be pre-loaded with powder. The lock, hammer and barrel tang have light floral engraving and the lock is marked "LEMAIRE A SEDAM". It is mounted with a nicely figured straight grip walnut stock with tear drop flats, a belt hook on the left side iron buttplate with 6 inch tang and buttstock compartment.

Rating Definition:

Near mint as expertly fabricated with 98% brown finish remaining on the barrel. The remaining components remain bright with some scattered minor discoloration. The stock is very good with two plug repairs and overall a few minor handling marks and dings. The action needs work, the mainspring is broken. The remaining mechanics function properly.
