Flared Damascus barrel, with gold accents at the muzzle and breech, raised panels on top, and a proof stamp at the rear. The lock plate is marked with a crown over "PIo", and fitted with a sliding safety and metal wrapped flint. Skip-line checkered stock, with extensive wire vine inlay, alternation between gold vines with silver leaves and vice-versa, as well as dotted wavy line borders, dots on the pistol grip, a sling ring bar and a smooth buttplate with floral carving on the heel. Produced for the Mediterranean Trade for a person of higher social stature or class.
Good, showing a strong Damascus pattern on the barrel, with brown finish in the protected areas. The stock shows some lost and partially extracted inlays, but is otherwise good. Mechanically very good.
