Description:
The right barrel flat is marked "M R VERSAILLES" ahead of the touchhole and the brass lock plate is unmarked. The brass barrel has a cannon muzzle with a sighting wedge cut on the top. The furniture is also brass with an iron barrel tang, hammer, frizzen, frizzen spring, and trigger. The smooth stock has "M:G" carved behind the barrel tang and a brass buttcap. The overall length of this flintlock pistol is 13 inches.
Rating Definition:
Fine. The brass has a bright appearance, with mild handling marks overall. The stock is also fine, with a few cracks, tiny chips and scattered dents. Mechanically very fine.
