Very good. The magazine tube retains much of the original blue finish. The barrel shows 40% original blue finish, mostly on the protected lower flats with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The receiver retains 20% original blue finish, mainly in the protected areas with a smooth plum patina on the balance. The lever and hammer have a smooth gray patina and the buttplate has a mottled brown patina with some minor oxidation. The wood is good overall with a 3 1/2 inch splinter missing on the upper, front left of the forearm, a minor crack in the same area and overall some scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is very good.
