Manufactured in 1894, the first year of production. It has a combination beach front sight and Lyman tang sight, with the rear sight having been removed and a Marble filler block added. The rifle has a full length magazine tube. The top of the barrel has the two line address marking with "32-40" stamped at the breech. Nicely figured smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a metal end cap and crescent buttplate.
Fine. The rifle retains 60% original blue finish with the overall balance a smooth brown-gray patina. There is limited light pitting on the barrel. The refinished wood is very fine with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
