According to the included factory letter, this rifle arrived at the warehouse 1 July 1895, and was shipped August 8,1895. Takedown rifle in 45-90 with an octagon barrel and plain trigger. Blade front and semi-buckhorn rear sights, with standard markings on the barrel and upper tang, and patent dates on the takedown lever. Smooth straight wrist stock, with a sling eye on the forearm tip and a smooth steel buttplate.
Very good as refinished, with 98% of the well polished gunsmith applied heavily buffed blue, showing a few areas of covered pitting and scattered handling marks. Stock is very good as sanded and revarnished, with some light dents. Mechanically excellent.
