Manufactured in 1896. Replacement Marble's blade front sight and folding ladder rear sight graduated to 200 yards, saddle ring and stud on the left side of the receiver. The left side of the replacement factory proofed barrel is marked with the two line address/patent date, nickel steel/smokeless powder and caliber designation and the Winchester oval proof is marked on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The three line model, maker, trade mark on the upper tang and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with carbine buttplate.
Fine as factory rebarreled/refinished. The barrel and magazine retain 95% factory blue finish. The barrel bands have a smooth gray and brown patina. The receiver and buttplate retain 60% thin original thinning blue finish with edge wear, bright wear from the saddle ring and areas fading to plum. The wood is fine as refinished with a few light dings and handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is good.
