Description:Manufactured in 1954 when the original purchase price was $107.95. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on top of the barrel and receiver. Equipped with a beaded front sight mounted on a ramp with a removable cover and a Winchester 22 K sporting rear sight. Two thirds tubular type magazine with 5 cartridge capacity. The nicely figured quarter sawed American walnut pistol grip stock features checkering on the forearm and grip area, a grip cap, sling swivel studs and a checkered steel buttplate. The rifle has the hanging tag. The Winchester factory box is numbered to the gun and has the cardboard partitions and protective paper. The white box end label is correctly ink stamped "SPECIAL." Also with the rifle is the instructions pamphlet. The following Winchester items are with the rifle: one box of Winchester .30-30 cartridges (box has bear illustration), a 1950s Winchester ad and a Winchester salesman's handbook. Overall an exceptional example of a Model 65 "Deer Rifle" with the original factory box.
Rating Definition:Near new in box with a few very light handling marks overall. The box is very fine with one split corner.
