Manufactured in 1906. combination folding Beach front and adjustable buck horn rear sights. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address and 1884 patent date ahead of the rear sight, and the Winchester oval proof followed by "25-20 W.C.F." at the breech. The Winchester oval proof is also marked on top of the receiver at the breech. Three line model/maker/trade mark marking on the upper tang and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. Full length magazine tube, blue finish with casehardened hammer and lever, and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate.
Very fine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 75% slightly faded original blue finish with some muzzle wear and some fading to a smooth plum. The receiver retains 60% plus original blue finish with edge wear and areas of smooth gray patina. The bolt retains 98% bright original blue finish. The hammer retains most of the original case colors while the lever has a smooth mottled brown patina. The wood is fine with a couple of small gouges on the left wrist, and overall minor dents and scratches. The buttplate has a smooth mottled gray patina. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
