Introduced in 1881. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the two line address/patent dates and matching serial number is marked on the butt, rear cylinder face, barrel and barrel latch. Pinned front and notch rear sights, nickel finish with blue trigger guard and casehardened hammer and trigger and fitted with checkered S&W monogram grips. The factory paper hinge box is numbered to the gun.

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original nickel finish showing some loss at the muzzle and some minor high edge wear. A patch of light pitting is present on the barrel near the muzzle. The hammer and trigger retain some original case colors. The trigger guard retains 70% original blue finish. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks near the bottoms and overall crisp checkering. The original box is very good with a couple split corners and showing wear.
