This example has a straight grip stock with military-style grasping grooves and handguard, fixed front sight, and a military style folding ladder rear sight graduated to "32". The left side of the receiver is marked with the two-line Winchester address and 1895 to 1907 patent dates and is not fitted with a saddle ring. The lower receiver tang is marked with the serial number horizontally followed by a "B" at the rear. The upper tang has the model and trademark information, and the top of the receiver is stamped with "30/ARMY" and the "WP" proof. The crescent buttplate has an empty compartment.

Very fine. The carbine retains 75% of the original finish with some flaking on the frame, some cycling wear on the left side of the magazine, and most of the finish absent on the buttplate aside from the upper tang. A brown patina is present on the exposed surfaces. The wood is also very fine with some dings, scratches, and a small dent below the grasping groove on the left. Mechanically excellent with clear markings.
