Manufactured in 1914. The top left barrel flat is marked with the two line address/1894 patent dates in front of the rear sight with "30 W.C.F." at the breech. The Winchester oval proofs are top barrel flat and receiver at the breech. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN." and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. It features blade front and rear adjustable buckhorn sporting sights. With full length magazine and mounted on a smooth walnut forearm with metal forend cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. Rear sight is a later production replacement.
Very good. The rifle retains 30% of the original blue finish mixing to a smooth grey patina with scattered scratches and dings. The marking are crisp and clear. The forend cap and buttplate have some browning speckling. The wood is about good with scattered scratches, dings, and gouges overall. Mechanically excellent.
