Manufactured in 1926. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the model, Winchester trademark and caliber designation, and the right rear is marked with the two-line address. The top of the barrel and receiver are marked with the Winchester oval proof at the breech. The upper tang is marked "WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK/MADE IN U.S.A.", and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. Blade front sight and adjustable folding ladder rear sight graduated to 200 yards. Saddle ring and staple on the left side of the receiver and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate.
Fine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 95% plus original blue finish with some minor wear on the muzzle and a small amount of very light spotting. The receiver shows 25% plus original blue finish mixed with smooth brown patina. The buttplate has a brown patina with some minor oxidation. The wood is also fine with some light areas on the stock, a series of small pressure dents to the rear of the left wrist, and overall some scattered minor dings and dents (concentrated mainly on the stock). The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
