This rifle was manufactured in 1905 and has the following special order features: fancy grade, multi-point checkered forearm and semi-pistol grip stock with Winchester hard rubber grip cap and shotgun buttplate and cheekpiece; 24 inch round barrel with Marble-Sheard blade front sight, rear dovetail filler block, and standard markings; close coupled double set triggers; and tang mounted peep sight. The silver initial plate on the stock has been engraved with a jumping deer design, and it has hooked sling swivels. The serial number and patent information are on the lower tang. .33 WCF was the smallest caliber offered for the Model 1886 but was still popular for game up to elk and black bear.
Fine as semi-professionally restored. The rifle retains 98% plus of the blue finish and nearly all of the rich case colors. The wood is also fine. There are some minor marks and dings scattered throughout. The markings are crisp, and the action is excellent.
