This Winchester Model 1866 SRC was manufactured in 1883 and has a pinched blade front sight just behind the magazine retaining band and a folding ladder rear sight. The saddle ring and stud are on the left side of the receiver. It is marked with the two line address and King's improvement marking on the top of the barrel and the serial number in script on the lower tang. It has a smooth forearm and straight wrist stock with a steel carbine buttplate.
Fair as refinished overall. The barrel and magazine tube retain 20% of the blue finish fading to a smooth brown patina with pitting and small areas of varnish loss. The receiver retains 30% of the brass finish mottling to a smooth dark patina with scattered dings and small areas of light pitting. The replacement wood is unfinished, not fitted with scattered scratches and dings and a crack going from the front to the rear of the forearm.
