Manufactured in 1895. The included ATF letter confirms the receiver's year of manufacture as 1895 and the short 15 inch barrel as a post-1906 factory original and goes on to confirm the piece as an antique and not subject to NFA guidelines regarding barrel length. Fitted with a fixed German silver blade front and a folding ladder style rear sight with elevator and fixed notch, standard markings, saddle ring mounted to the left side of the receiver, and a smooth steel buttplate. Mounted with a carbine forearm with barrel band and smooth straight grip stock.
Good as rebarreled with a mostly gray patina, areas of mild pitting, scattered small dings, and areas of red/brown spotting. The refinished wood is good with small cracks visible on the forearm, handling marks, and a few larger gouges at the wrist of the buttstock. Mechanically fine.
