Manufactured in 1926. This example has a nickel plated receiver (plated some time after production) and blue remaining parts. Pinned beaded blade front and carbine rear sights on a barrel with standard factory markings. The Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. A saddle ring staple is mounted on the left side of the receiver. The upper tang has the three-line model, maker, and trade mark information. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with carbine buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good as period refurbished. The barrel and magazine tube retain 90% blue finish with some light spotting at the breech, some thinning ahead of the forearm and some flaking near the muzzle end. The lever retains 98% blue finish with some light spotting. The receiver retains 98% period replated nickel finish with some minor pitting and scratches visible under the finish and freckling. The wood has been revarnished and remains good plus with a minor crack running along the lower right side of the stock, from the butt to almost the lever. Overall there are some scattered minor dings and dents. The markings are clear. The action is excellent. Nonetheless, an attractive Winchester Model 1892 saddle ring carbine!
