Introduced in 1997, this revolver has a very low serial number (number 3). Features fixed ramp front and frame notch rear sight on a slightly raised solid rib, six-shot fluted cylinder, full shrouded ejector rod housing, serrated hammer, smooth trigger and Colt checkered rubber wraparound combat style grips. The right side of the barrel is marked with the standard Colt two line address, with the left side being marked, "COLT .38 DS-II/-.38 SPECIAL CTG.-". The factory letter states the guns provenance as "an early production sample with low serial number, kept by the Colt factory". Complete with papers/manual and original Colt blue plastic factory case numbered to gun, orange warning hanging tag and factory letter. Provenance: Colt Factory Archive Collection.
